ACADEMICS

The mission of Elevation Preparatory Academy is to create a culture of excellence that motivates students to lead with passion, integrity, and creativity while becoming compassionate members of the global community. We offer courses for grades 8 through 12.

CORE COURSES

EPA offers classes for all levels in Math, Science, Social Studies, and English. Course offerings are based on the Florida Department of Education graduation requirements and on NCAA guidelines.

If a desired course is not offered in person, we also provide students with over 100 online courses through our partnership with Florida Virtual School (FLVS).

ELECTIVES

Students enrolled with our partner academies will receive course credit for their respective program, Programs include 212° Academy, Florida International Baseball Academy, Celsius Tennis, Sarasota Volleyball Club, or Upper 90 Soccer Academy.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROGRAM

This program is designed for all non-native english speakers. The goal of the English Language Program (ELP) is to transition english as a second language students into a traditional core curriculum with the educational tools needed to succeed.

PHASES OF ELP

  1. Assimilation: Students will familiarize themselves with a traditional American classroom setting, peer interaction, student teacher relationship, etc.

  2. Accommodation: Students will complete modified assignments in English. Teachers will create lesson plans with ESL modifications

  3. Adaptation: Students will be fully immersed in classroom activities and assignments (limited modifications) 

COLLEGE PLACEMENT

From application to acceptance! EPA College & Career counselors develop a personalized College Placement Plan for every student! Small group workshops, individual conference, and collaboration with academy coaches lead to SUCCESS!
