In 2009, Elevation Preparatory Academy was founded to allow athletes to attend pro style training and have a schedule to allow them to get quality education, nutrition, training and game time reps in their passion of choice.

School Operations Intern

EPA is seeking a motivated, organized, and team-oriented individual to assist in the planning and day-to-day operations for the school and outside events. This individual will gain valuable experience planning and executing events, as well as running daily operations.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Court Scheduling (basketball full court & volleyball courts)

  • Facility maintenance reporting

  • Monitor and manage all event day activities including event operations and administration

  • Communication with visiting team

  • Increase the institutions social media presence

  • Transportation lead (airport pickup and drop off for students)

  • Bi-weekly school supply runs

  • Student on-campus residential advisor*

  • Other duties as assigned

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Strong preference for experience with multi-purpose club/recreational facilities.

  • Strong knowledge, ability, and desire to direct all aspects of the facilities.

  • Strong commitment to the overall development of students and EPA mission.

  • Ability and flexibility to work several nights and weekends.

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Hiring is contingent upon the successful completion of a background and driving record check, and eligibility to work in the United States.

Residential Advisor

The function of the resident advisor is to work with Elevation Prep staff and with campus residents to facilitate an environment that contributes to the overall intellectual, social, physical, moral, and cultural development of students. The Residential Advisor articulates to students the mission and policies of Elevation Prep Academy and, in turn, represents the needs of students to the administration.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Be available and accessible to residents by making a strong commitment to be present on campus.

  • Know all the students living on campus.

  • Refer students to appropriate departments for assistance. Serve as a resource and referral person in the academic, personal, and social advising of students.

  • Assist in the management of crises and report emergencies or serious illnesses. Be informed and able to instruct residents regarding the evacuation procedures and the location of emergency equipment.

  • Respect confidentiality at all times. Confidentiality should be tempered with sensitivity to the well-being and safety of other students, the school, and the school’s property.

  • Develop and carry out activities to promote a sense of community throughout the campus (i.e., a trip to the beach or local shops or other activities with students). 

  • Students may look to you as a role model. Your actions and words can carry weight that you may not have intended. Be cognizant of the role you have accepted, and make efforts to maintain as a solid, consistent, and well-rounded member of the school.

  • Encourage students to make the most of their school experience by emphasizing the various possibilities for learning and activity.

  • Perform duties around campus such as locking all the main doors and turning off the lights

  • Perform nightly dorm checks to assure all residents are on campus.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferred.

  • No previous work experience needed.

  • All applicants must have a valid driver’s license, and pass a background and driver’s license screening.

  • Food and housing provided.

Baseball Operations Intern

Florida International Baseball Academy (FIBA) specializes in preparing athletes to compete at the next level, whether it be Junior College, a 4-year university, professional baseball, or coaching. Training and coaching is formatted to mirror what is done at the highest level. FIBA, in conjunction with Elevation Prep Academy, is seeking a motivated, organized, and team-oriented individual to assist in the clerical and operational tasks in support of the Baseball programs. 

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Reports directly to baseball operations manager, Coach Marcello

  • Assist in the development and implementation of the FIBA training system

  • Assisting with on-field development workouts

  • Assist with video editing for highlights, and capturing and analyzing game film

  • Managing team statistics

  • Coaching summer league program

  • Managing all baseball social media accounts (FITC accounts, FIBA accounts, CAT5 accounts)

  • Monitoring academic progress

  • General maintenance and cleaning of fields and training facility

  • Performing other duties as assigned by administration, such as:

    • Sales, marketing, and promotions for upcoming events and existing programs

    • Player registration for events, camps, tryouts, etc.

    • Website maintenance

    • International relations

    • Update FIBA rosters, game schedules, and practice schedules

    • Player recruitment, acquisition, and/or placement

  • Student on-campus residential advisor

 

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Ability to follow simple written and oral instructions.

  • Ability to establish professional working relationships with student-athletes, coaches, and staff.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate in person and in writing with student-athletes, coaches, and academic staff.

  • Demonstrates strong leadership and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.

  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.

  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

  • Must be able to travel with the Baseball team as necessary.

  • Must be able to assist with the transportation (driving) for student-athletes, local errands etc.

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, preferred.

  • Previous experience in baseball operations, preferred.

  • Hiring is contingent upon the successful completion of a background and driving record check, and eligibility to work in the United States.

Basketball Operations Intern

212° Academy, in conjunction with Elevation Preparatory Academy, is seeking a motivated, organized, and team-oriented individual to assist in the clerical and operational tasks in support of the Men’s Basketball programs. The internship program is designed to provide the intern with valuable experience specific to basketball operations.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Reporting directly to the head basketball coach (Coach Jacobs)

  • Assist with player development and team practice

  • Assist with video editing for highlights

  • Capturing and analyzing game film

  • Managing team statistics

  • On-court individual skill work

  • Assist with equipment management, including the distribution and collection of team equipment

  • Provide assistance with the set-up and breakdown for practices and competitions

  • General maintenance and cleaning of basketball facilities

  • Monitoring academic progress

  • Supervision of student-athletes and transportation to and from games

  • Student on-campus residential advisor

  • Performing other duties as assigned by administration

 

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Ability to follow simple written and oral instructions.

  • Ability to establish professional working relationships with student-athletes, coaches, and staff.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate in person and in writing with student-athletes, coaches, and academic staff.

  • Possess basic computer skills.

  • Demonstrates strong leadership and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.

  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.

Strength and Conditioning Intern

EPA is seeking a motivated, organized, and team-oriented individual to assist the Director of Strength and Conditioning in coaching athletes in sport-specific training. These sports include, but are not limited to: baseball, basketball, volleyball, gymnastics, tennis, and golf. This individual will gain valuable hands-on experience in sports performance training and planning.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of a Player Development Plan

  • Teaching and coaching the warm-up

  • Strength training instruction

  • Establish annual testing and performance measures

  • Nutrition counseling

  • General maintenance and cleaning of EPA performance facilities

  • Equipment management

  • Performing other duties as assigned by administration

  • Student on-campus residential advisor

Soccer Operations Intern

Florida International Soccer Academy allows young athletes to develop their soccer skills in a safe, fun, and educationally sound environment. We work together to build both the athletes’ soccer and life skills. We make success possible and strive to ensure players grow as a person as well as an athlete. Florida International Soccer Academy, in conjunction with Elevation Preparatory Academy, is seeking a motivated, organized, and team-oriented individual to assist in the clerical and operational tasks in support of the soccer program. The internship program is designed to provide the intern with valuable experience specific to soccer and sport operations.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Reporting directly to the head soccer coach

  • Assist with player development and team practice

  • Assist with video editing for highlights

  • Managing team statistics
